We leverage n8n, a powerful and extensible workflow automation tool, to bring you the ability to create workflows with minimal effort. Movestax takes care of the infrastructure by providing fully managed n8n instances, enabling you to focus on building workflows without worrying about the underlying setup.

Plans and Availability

Hosted workflows are included for free in the Starter, Basic, and Pro plans. All users of the mentioned plans can access this feature without additional cost, regardless of the plan tier.

Getting Started with Hosted Workflows

  1. Navigate to the Project Dashboard:

    • Go to your project in the Movestax dashboard and select the Hosted Workflows section.

  2. Create an n8n Instance:

    • Click Create Workflow Instance to provision your n8n instance.

  3. Select a Database:

    • During the setup process, you’ll be prompted to select a database for your workflows. Choose between:
      • SQLite: Lightweight and native to n8n.
      • PostgreSQL: Recommended for performance and scalability. Movestax provides a serverless PostgreSQL database within your project for easy integration.

  4. Configure Your Instance:

    • Once the instance is provisioned, you’ll receive a unique deployment URL (e.g., deployment.n8n.movestax.app).
    • Set up your credentials (username and password) directly within n8n. Movestax does not manage or store your login information for security purposes.

Note: Each user is limited to one n8n instance across all projects.

Important Considerations

  • Database Configuration:

    • If using PostgreSQL, you will need to provide the database password during setup. Movestax does not store your passwords, ensuring maximum security.
    • SQLite is selected by default for simple workflows, but PostgreSQL is recommended for more complex or large-scale automations.

  • Deleting Your Workflow Instance:

    • Deleting a hosted workflow instance will permanently remove all associated data and configurations. Be sure to back up your workflows before deletion.

  • User-Maintained Access:

    • As the instance owner, you are fully responsible for managing and securing your login credentials. Movestax does not have access to or provide passwords for your n8n deployment.
